Dale Pierre Selby: ‘Dirty Harry’ Movie Inspired ‘CopyCat Killers’ In Ansley, Naisbitt Utah Murders

Dale Pierre Selby and Williams Andrews, two Ogden, Utah CopyCat Killers who were inspired by Clint Eastwood’s Dirty Harry movie, will be analyzed on the Reelz documentary CopyCat Killers. Dale Pierre Selby, who is also referred to as Dale Pierre Shelby, killed Carol Naisbitt, Michelle Ansley, and Stanley Walker over40 years ago in a case known as the “Hi-Fi Murders.”

Exclusive: CopyCat Killers Clip Focuses on Serial Killer Inspired by RoboCop

The argument over whether or not violence in media affects people and their behavior has been going on for a long, long time. Concerned parents and organizations will always be eager to point their fingers at video games, music, television, movies, etc…, after a terrible tragedy. While I personally don’t agree with this line of thinking, there are many who do, which is where Reelz Channel’s show “CopyCat Killers” comes in.

The show discusses real-life murder cases where the killer was inspired by a Hollywood movie. Today, we’re giving you an exclusive sneak peek into the case of Nathaniel White, a serial killer from the New York Hudson Valley who claims that his first murder was inspired by RoboCop 2. A high-school shooting claimed to have been inspired by a scene from Leonardo DiCaprio film The Basketball Diaries is spotlighted tonight on REELZChannel documentary series CopyCat Killers.

The shooting at Heath High School in West Paducah, Kentucky, in December 1997 saw 14-year-old Michael Carneal shoot dead three students and injure five others.

It was later claimed he may have been inspired from a dream-sequence scene from 1995 film The Basketball Diaries in which DiCaprio’s character Jim Carroll shoots students at his school.

Breaking Bad inspired killing of Regan Jolley

Hart at his plea deal, he was inspired by Breaking Bad to dispose of Regan Jolley’s body in an acid bath

This week CopyCat Killers spotlights the murder of Regan Jolley, who was killed by her Breaking Bad obsessed boyfriend and then disposed of in a bath full of acid.

33-year-old Jolley and her veteran boyfriend Jason Hart met at a drug treatment facility in SpokaneWashington. where she had been staying with her two young kids as she tried to clean up her life. Initially their relationship seemed to be going great and it is thought the pair moved in together.

However, Jolley was unaware of 27-year-old Heart’s obsession with the Breaking Bad TV series and is mental issues. At some point in June 2013 Hart strangled Jolley and then tried to dispose of her body in a bath
